Another blessed morning, and a opportunity for ministry

So this morning, I had an awesome chat with Christina. Afterward, at about 8:30 am I worshiped a bit, and then went for a walk to get some exercise and 'enjoy' the ridiculously hot and humid weather.

As I walked, I listened to worship music, and was looking forward to finding some nice cafe/bakery, having a  morning coffee and something to eat.

I found this nice place, near the river and went inside. Again, Jesus has felt so close to me, I don't know how to explain it, but I am supremely happy. I finished listening to a podcast, and during the end of it, I though about how I could just leave this cafe, or I could do something, the smallest thing, to leave the fragrance of Christ with the barrister working.

So, when I finished my drink and food, I placed my cutlery on the tray and placed a Gospel tract on it for her, and handed it to her.

I know it's a small thing, but its something I could do, so I did it.

God be praised, I pray more and more that he would humble me from any worldly desires and Christian desires that aren't centred on being in love with him and laying my life down for the one. For the one person who happens to be in front of me, and to love the person with whom I am in any moment.

Not to live in the future, and see the multitude, but see the one, the barrister, the orphan, the co-worker, the christian brother or sister who needs some encouragement. And living my whole life with this kind of single loving focus

Amen, :)

Another awesome thing Jesus did

So, today whilst I was praying and seeking God, I was feeling really bothered, and kinda uneasy because of all the things I still want to see changes in in my life. I was seeking God, but I felt uneasy, and a little stressed, cause I wanted to be more intimate, and do more ministry, and I don't know, just a little sad because I didn't know which mountain to tackle first, and how?

So as I was reading my bible I read psalm 130 and 131, and in them, the verses that really stood out to me were the ones where David is talking about 'waiting on God' and having 'peace, and quietening myself before him.'

So I decided to just relax, and trust him, one day at a a time, one moment at a time.

And then, I was really encouraged to have faith in him and pray, so I prayed that today, when I go to this certain cafe, I would see this girl I haven't seen there in a few weeks, so I could befriend her more and give her a gospel tract.

Later in the afternoon, as I enter the cafe, I just felt God tell me "Watch how I answer prayer" - and just then, she ran past me and into the cafe! She was just starting her shift!!"

I was so excited!!

I listen to a podcast, had a hot chocolate, and when I left I gave her a gospel tract with my name on it for Facebook purposes.

So blessed, praise God!!!

Seoul, and the incredible things Jesus did there.

Ok guys, (the 3 people subscribed to this) and a special shout out to 'You know Who!'
I just came back from my day holiday in Seoul.

The time was great, but the incredible amazing thing about it all was Jesus!

At night time, after doing the sight seeing stuff, i would run off on my own to get a chance at some alone time with Jesus because you have no privacy in a hostel. So, this one night, I really wanted to worship, but where? Seoul is a busy city, no privacy anywhere.

So, I found thing beautiful looking cathedral building really close to my Hostel, I went to the front door but it was closed. So, i put my headphones in, and worshiped with all of my heart out the front.

For the first time in a loooong time I felt the beautiful presence of Jesus! I fell on my knees and cried and worshipped, it was incredible!!!!

Then, the next day, on my way home form the subway, I was praying for opportunities to minister and serve him, and right then there was this dirty drunk man passed out on the subway steps. I was so excited!!

I jumped on him, hugged him, took him over to the side and sat on the floor holding him and praying for him. I don't know Korean, so I just keeps saying "Yesu Yesus" - means Jesus, and holding him. He began to cry a little and put his hands together.. then, shortly after he kinda sunken back into his drink enduser coma.

It was the best moment in a long time, Jesus just poured into me, and then automatically poured out -without any effort or thought.

Then, today, on the way into a subway train, as chatting to this guy who knew English quite well and he told me about his father who is dying of cancer. So, I told him that Jesus can heal his father, and then, on the train, as we were driving along, I prayed with him then and there, amidst the people, he prayed with me  . It was such a beautiful moment - real and raw.

Anyways, needless to say I had the best holiday in Seoul I could have ever imagined, and only feel more and more led and called and confirmed to be a missionary next year.

Praise Jesus!!!!

(Hope you're happy)

#3_ Work and apartment

Ok, so this may be split into 2 parts, but let me just quickly say that, so far, Korea is amazing and I love it!
The school is incredible, a lot of money goes into public education so the facilities and resources are awesome. The Co workers here are so great, I have already made many friends and been out a lot for dinners and so on. Going to an island with a few co-workers tomorrow, and some karaoke and drinks another night.

The students are so nice, and crazy! I am treated like Justin Bieber, everywhere I walk, legions of screaming excited girls everywhere, its so incredibly flattering. I have already received flowers, and an i love you, and its been 3 days. The day I arrived, so much screaming in the hallways, it was nuts!

The caffeteria here is great too, $2 lunch meals everyday, and diners at 5 if I just want to eat here after work.

My apartment is very spacious and nice.

I am the most blessed person in the world, will update again soon, love you all.

#2_Changwon Hotel

So I'm in Changwon, and tomorrow I move into my apartment and go to work. It's been an awesome 2 days here. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of shops within a 50m radius from me, I've never seen such efficient use of space, they don't waste a cm. The food has been unbelievable, so cheap and so so so good! I just had a chicken burger at a McDonalds rip off, and instead of tomato sauce, it had Mayonnaise and Teriaky sauce (misspelt probably). Most delicious burger, ever.

Trying to buy work pants and get them re-cized was pretty funny. All my talking is done in mime and pointing to stuff, they in turn mime and point until we agree on what's being said.

The internet here is incredibly fast, the rumours are indeed true, and I had a great cup of coffee at the bakery this morning.

Its very humid here, and so I was wearing a singlet everywhere yesterday, getting stared down everywhere I went. I have a suspicion that singlets are counted as underwear here, as I've only seen them in the underwear section of shops under the heading 'Undershirts" Wearing a t-shirt today proved better, and I didn't get so many stares.

Take care guys, I love you, and I can't wait to go to a church on sunday!

Will post video of my apartment tomorrow if possible.

#1_Arriving in Incheon

I can't believe I'm in Korea, this is so strange!
I figured I'd create a little blog to document my experiences here, no doubt I'll give up quite fast, but why not try aye?

So guys, I arrive fine, and I am currently staying at a hotel in Incheon tonight, tomorrow morning I'll fly to Changwon - which is where I will live the coming year. However, my apartment in Changwon isn't ready yet, so they will put me up in a hotel for a further 2 nights before it all begins.

So I gotta say, its definitely difficult not being able to read or understand a word and not knowing Korean culture or customs. I just went for a walk around the hotel block, SO MANY Restaurants and crazy lights and stuff. Walked into a place looking for food, and all the owners started yelling cause I didn't take my shoes off!

It turned out they only served squid, so I moved on until I found a place with beef and rice. $4-50 for dinner guys, $4.50!

Anyways, I love you all, will keep you updated as things progress, crazy times aye!
